Cellar Dehumidifiers
Efficient solution for storage spaces
Cellars in homes and commercial buildings like restaurants, bars and shops can suffer from issues with damp because of their location. While cellars are often unheated and colder than the upper rooms, especially if used to store something like wine or beer, excess moisture can spoil the conditions. A damp cellar is not suitable for the storage of any goods, and items can decay or become damaged if the problem is not addressed.
A cellar dehumidifier can maintain dry conditions by removing the humid air and making the area suitable for storage. Managing the relative humidity of a cellar helps to prevent condensation and damp, which can ruin stock. Moisture also facilitates the growth of mould and mildew, leading to mould spores, odours and an unsafe and generally unpleasant environment.
We have a great range of desiccant dehumidifiers for cellars, that will work efficiently in the colder conditions. These absorption dehumidifiers do not collect condensate in internal tanks; they remove it from the space as water vapour. They are designed to be connected to ducting or an exhaust leading outside so that the excess moisture can escape out into the open air.
The Ecor Pro DryFan range features dehumidifiers with various extraction capacities to suit cellars of different sizes. The DH800 can extract up to 8 litres of water per day, while the DH3500 can extract up to 45 litres! These machines are compact, robust and versatile. They are portable and can be installed into confined spaces at any angle. These desiccant dehumidifiers have internal humidistats and are compatible with industrial ducting, so they can be used for continuous operation.
